Rig for digging GeoPiers (#136 to drill). Augur bit (R) used to drill hole
approx 20 ft deep, then rock inserted and power tamped down in 1 foot
high sections until ground level reached. The spread concrete footings will
essentially rest on these columns ("piers") of compressed rock.
